What and Where is Noosa?
Noosa is a sub-tropical paradise just one and a half hours North of Brisbane, in Queensland. Noosa enjoys hot summers, warm winters, great surf, is well known for its great food and healthy activities.
Known for its health and fitness-mad population, Noosa also hosts Australia's largest Triathlon in November each year. Go to http://www.noosatriathlon.com/ for more information.
With lakes, river and sea, there are outdoor activities to suit all tastes, so while you are toning and trimming, the rest of the family can be fishing, surfing, scuba-diving, kite-surfing, walking, eating, drinking .... and joining you in the studio!
World heritage listed Fraser Island is only a day trip away - and the tour operators will pick you up and drive you by four-wheel drive all the way up the beach to get there! Fraser Island is the world's largest all sand island, with magnificent fresh water lakes, sparkling white sandy beaches with shimmering turquoise water.
Dolphins can frequently be seen playing in the waves just off our beaches, Kangaroos on golf-courses (but not playing!) and multi-coloured Rosellas inhabit local gardens ... and of course, hear the laugh of the jubilant Kookaburra!
A virtual tour of Noosa can be found here (Tour Of Noosa).
MySunshineCoast.com have a comprehensive directory of things to do around Noosa as does The Noosa Guide. Check out http://www.mysunshinecoast.com.au/
Also check out http://www.noosaeguide.com/. A brilliant and FREE pdf-based downloadable e-book "The Complete Guide To Noosa" is available from this website.
It contains all the contact numbers for accommodation and things to do you'll ever need. Unfortunately they missed us in this publication but we're onto it .... at least we are on their website!)
